The pleasures of the table in our high-altitude restaurant

The high-altitude restaurant at Sunny Valley Kelo Mountain Lodge is a reference point for those who love great cuisine. With three dedicated areas (Bistro, Restaurant/Steakhouse and Gourmet), you can learn through many experiences how food can be exciting and bring back intimate memories. The best of ingredients, expertly combined, release aromas and flavours that can add great excitement and value to meals. A prestigious selection of pairing wines completes the exclusivity of the offerings at our extraordinary high-altitude restaurant.

Wine cellar

Our wine cellar, on display in the dining-hall, offers a glimpse at our prestigious selection of wines ranging from exclusive regional labels to Italian and international wines. The wine list available to our guests, with a selection guided by the skill and professionalism of our Sommelier, offers a series of tastings, unique in their class for the selection of valuable labels and the prestige of the wines themselves. We have also helped in the development of the project ‘Adopt a vineyard in Valtellina’, our source for Sunny Valley CGDO. A wine from the Nebbiolo vine grown in the Valgella area, grapes selected from the plant are made into wine especially for us. 

Bistro

Consisting of a large room with fireplace that can accommodate more than 100 people, the Bistro offers coffee, beverages and foods based on local and regional recipes using ingredients that are primarily produced locally. The perfect way to satisfy athletic appetites that can’t wait to get back out on the trails.

Restaurant/Steakhouse

With two spacious rooms, in addition to having an excellent selection of local and regional dishes, the high altitude restaurant features a significant offering of meats cooked over a wood-fired grill and carefully selected from the best farms in the world. After cooking, seasoning is done with whole pink Himalayan salt that enhances flavour and succulence. To appreciate every cut to the utmost of its potential, we recommend following the cooking times our chef provides.

Gourmet ‘Mountain Lodge’ Restaurant

Reserved for guests at the Lodge, this dining-room has a panoramic view of the Ortles-Cevedale Group mountain range. Carefully furnished, this is the ideal place to take a break at any time of day, from brunch to lunch and through to dinner. Our gourmet dishes can please the most exacting palates. Discretion and relaxation near the sky.
